ABOUT US

THE COMPANY

Heather Millar - Operations Director/Founder

Heather Millar is the organisation wizard of the group but you’ll never find her far from a cuppa or a book and she never turns up to a meeting without cake! Heather combines her physical theatre background and obtained PCertLam, making her the perfect ensemble member. Since graduating Heather directed Scram’s contribution to the Parkland Walk Pop-up Shakespeare project as well as Whimsy - Scram's first full project. Alongside this, Heather is also tinkering away on her own work - so stay tuned for some exciting reveals!

Alex Newport - Artistic Director/Founder

Alex Newport enjoys his main task of sitting at a desk dreaming things up while everyone else does the legwork. With a number of stand-up gigs under his belt and an experienced writer, Alex has never been pigeonholed. He is keen to see and create new work relevant to the modern world, particularly focussing on personal stories. Alex is also an actor and workshop leader, specialising in Commedia dell’Arte, and is very interested in finding expression through the physicality of performance.

Ellen Kruger -

Ellen Kruger is the owner of the best accent in Scram, and loving mother to two dogs. Before becoming an actor she trained as a singer at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and received a BA in Music from Trinity College Dublin, where she specialised in Music Technology and discovered her love for sound design. After leaving Trinity she trained as an actor at the Gaiety School of Acting and Applied Art of Acting in Dublin. She then promptly packed her bags to seek her fortune in London like Oliver Twist (only shorter). She can be found making noise for Scram both on and off the stage.
